10 years in an industrial complex that utilizes draconian methods in order to gain profit is enough to break anyone’s mind. Jay Payd, however, spent his time in prison to reflect and ponder his future. Upon reaching his freedom after his sentence, Jay began setting his life up for success such as utilizing his connections in the marijuana industry and acquiring a license to become a retailer of medical weed.

Although, making money wasn’t Jay’s only goal, he had a passion for music, specifically hip-hop and rap. He used his resources and connections to fuel his dream to become a successful musical artist. Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum producer, Ralo Stylez saw something in Jay Payd and took him under his wing. The relationship was and still is organic, as it was Ralo Stylez who personally taught Jay Payd about the tedious work it would take to become a music artist such as learning equipment and technical skills. Stylez even went as far as driving to a guitar center to help Jay identify and learn the niche equipment required for a home studio.

Since then, Jay has become a rising star in the music industry. He has explained that he (as well as Stylez) was never in the industry for the money, instead, he is motivated by the glory of creating genuine and authentic art that he is proud of. It is with great anticipation that, alongside Yung LB and Desto Dubb, Jay Payd has just recently dropped his single “20,000 Dollars All 20s” now streaming on all platforms!
